From single machines to entire factories
Moving production equipment is high-stakes work: every day a machine sits in pieces is a day it earns nothing. Mobile Automation manages machinery installations and relocations across Victoria — disconnection, dismantling, transport coordination, reassembly, precision alignment and commissioning — with electrical, mechanical and controls handled by one team.

Proven at factory scale
When Taurean Door Systems (part of Stramit) relocated from Bayswater North to a new 7,000m² factory in Knoxfield, we decommissioned every machine, ran all the power, reconnected and commissioned each machine, verified PLC data, ran fibre optics and powered the admin areas — decommissioning from 21 December, fully operational by 18 January. Their project manager called our role "massive": "can't speak highly enough… one really happy customer."
What's included
- Planning and staging — sequencing built around your production calendar and lease deadlines
- Electrical disconnection and reconnection — by our own A-Grade electricians (REC 8904), including supply upgrades at the new site
- Mechanical dismantling, reassembly and alignment — millwrighting, levelling and precision alignment
- Controls verification — PLC program backups before the move, verification after; the machine that worked there works here
- Modifications and refurbishment in transit — the ideal moment for guarding upgrades, control retrofits and overdue repairs
- OEM installation support — site works, services and commissioning assistance for new imported machinery
New machine? We're the local half of your OEM's team
For new equipment arriving from overseas OEMs, we deliver the site works the manufacturer won't: power, control integration to your plant, guarding to Australian standards, and the ESV/compliance paperwork — then we stay as your local support after the OEM's engineer flies home.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a factory relocation take?
Depends on machine count and complexity — Taurean's complete factory was moved and operational in under a month after 10 months of planning. Planning quality determines the outcome; start the conversation early.
Do you handle the riggers and transport?
We coordinate the full chain — rigging and transport partners we work with regularly, under our project management, so there's one schedule and one responsible party.
Can you back up our PLC programs before the move?
Always — program backups, parameter records and photographs before disconnection are standard procedure. Machines are verified against them at commissioning.
Can you upgrade machines during the move?
Yes, and it's the cheapest time to do it — the machine is already offline and opened up. Guarding, controls and drive upgrades during relocation are common add-ons.
